Overview

This product contains column water vapor values. A near infra-red (IR) algorithm is used during the day to provide 1km resolution data. An IR algorithm is used during the night and day to generate 5x5 1km resolution data. Further information about these data sets can be found here.

This product is generated from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument aboard the EOS satellites; Terra (morning descending orbit) and Aqua (afternoon ascending orbit).
